Villages Vintage Car Club Monday

November 16, 2009

The regular meeting of the Villages Vintage Car Club was held on November 16, 2009 at the Truman Recreation Center.  President Jim Maiurro called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm and led the membership in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 REPORTS

The minutes from the October meeting were read by the Secretary Prentiss Yates.  A motion was made, seconded and carried that the minutes be approved as read.

 The Treasurer’s report was read by Treasurer, Mike Ferlisi.  A motion was made, seconded, and carried that the report be approved as read.

 UPCOMING EVENTS

           The Christmas Party will be held on December 13, 2009 at Savannah Center.

Alan Stone gave an overview of the February 2010 car show.

NEW MEMBERS

 The following new members were welcomed into the club:

 Kenny, Dick and Shirley

Hart, Bob and Carolyn

Ermeling, Ronald and Ginger

Powell, Terry

 OLD BUSINESS

 President Maiurro stated that the Entertainment Committee and Refreshment Committee terms were completed and is seeking volunteers to fill the vacancies.

 NEW BUSINESS

 Elections were held for Treasurer and Vice-President.  There was one nomination for Treasurer, Mike Ferlisi and he agreed to serve for another term.  Greg Stickney was nominated for Vice-President, accepted and was elected.

 ANNOUCEMENTS

Wendy’s car show: Rick Welch and Ken Griffin were awarded top 30 and Larry Thompson Best of Show.

 There were 2 winners for the 50/50. 

A motion was made, seconded and motion carried to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 pm.
