Villages Vintage Car Club
Monday July 20,2009
The regular meeting of the Villages Vintage Car Club was held on July 20 2009. President Jim Maiurro called the meeting to order at 7:05PM and led the membership in the Pledge of Allegiance.
REPORTS: Acting Recording Secretary Mike Varga read the minutes of the previous meeting. A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes as read motion carried.
Treasurer Mike Ferlisi read the Treasurers report. A motion was made and seconded to accept the treasurer’s report as read motion carried.
The Recreation Committee reported that everyone had a good time at Bogies the food was great and Family day scheduled for July 12th is canceled due to lack of interest
UPCOMMING EVENTS: August 22 Summerfield Suites, August 22nd 4 to 8 PM Florida Center for the Blind, September 27 Mystery Cruise to nowhere, October 11 Lake Ridge Winery, October 19 Pot Luck Dinner and October 23 Lake Sumter Landing.
NEW MEMBERS: Jerry and Linda Cheney, Stan and Rita Nash, Bill and Patti Schaal and Bob and Debbye Hilfiker
GUEST SPEAKER: Joel from Jimmy Buffet auto detailing talked about the proper way to detail a car. Joel also donated a complete detail worth one hundred fifty dollars to the lucky winner which was Pam Hendricksen .
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Al reported on the Marion Market show he said he still needs help and that it cannot be a one man show.

President Maiurro reported that Trophies were given out at the July Villages Car Show. After some discussion about stopping giving out Trophies at non Villages Vintage Car Club sponsored shows, a motion was made and seconded to stop giving trophies out at non sponsored club shows. Motion carried. President Jim will contact the Villages entertainment committee and tell them of our decision. President.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: President Maiurro said that the changing of the Club Logo has not yet been discussed by the Executive Board and will have an answer by the August Meeting for the membership to decide on.
The topic of the Gary Woodward Trophy was talked about on the floor, weather to keep it or not give it out due to the fact that it was one of the Trophies given out at the Villages Car Show. One of the suggestions was to have it and have the President give it out to a person who goes above and beyond in helping the club. President Jim said he will discuss it with the Board on how to give it out.
NEW BUSINESS: President Maiurro reported that Cheryl Bingham will not be doing our Web Site anymore and we need someone to take it over. If we cannot get someone we might use a Web Master on the outside.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Jim reported that he has six shirts that the owners have not picked up. Anyone who wants one see Jim. Also there were twelve cars at the show at Chick Fil FT and Tire Choice-Advance Auto Parts show had a good turnout.
